Petersen Chiropractic - Kate Petersen

Meet Dr. Kate

While pursuing her first degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Cardio Pulmonary Rehab from Winona State University, Dr. Kate woke up one morning and couldn’t turn her neck. Knowing exactly where to go, she sought her childhood chiropractor - while chatting over her X-Rays and care plan, the conversation turned to Kate becoming a doctor herself and the rest, they say, is history.

For two years Dr. Kate worked in the cardiac rehabilitation unit at the Winona Hospital before moving to Bloomington, Minnesota to attend Northwestern Health Science University. There she developed her signature technique and soon obtained her Doctorate degree in Chiropractic in 2010.

Dr. Kate earned her stripes for five years in Wisconsin before the cold got the best of her and drove her down south. Dabbling as an associate in practices across Myrtle Beach, North Carolina and outside of D.C., Charleston finally called and Kate enthusiastically answered.

Putting down roots in North Charleston’s beloved Park Circle neighborhood, Dr. Kate is proud to both live and practice in her community, opening her private-practice, Petersen Chiropractic, in 2020.

Known for her calming presence, intentional approach and commitment to educating her patients as well as treating them, Dr. Kate is all about ensuring you are informed, understand your wellness journey and know that your care is entirely your choice.

Bringing more than a decade of dedicated experience and education to each patient, Dr. Kate is on a mission to take your chiropractic care beyond the conventional pain relief, and expand its potential to helping you sleep, move, and, ultimately, feel better. The possibilities are endless.

When Dr. Kate isn’t making adjustments, you may find her strolling the circle with her furbaby, Daisy, throwing blades at the Bearded Ax or getting her fitness on at Locomotion.
